• 625ml locking soft flask included: can be carried in the front compartment for accessible hydration or in the rear compartment if preferred.
• Additional hydration: rear compartment fits an UltrAspire 800ml soft flask.
• Rear compression: separate adjustment pulls heavier loads closer to the body rather than relying on stretch alone for stability.
• Six storage pockets: distribute hydration, food and equipment around the waist.
• Front zipped pocket: secure storage for keys and other small essentials.
• Open-top front pocket: flat pocket behind the zipped pocket provides convenient storage for used wrappers and other small waste.
• Soft side construction: no top or bottom binding across the side sections for a softer feel around the hips.
• Rear Z-pole carrying: rubber-lined straps grip folded Z-poles securely without the removable aluminium attachments used on the Mountain Racer.

The Lightning has a tubular step-in construction rather than an adjustable buckle or clip. Step into the pack and pull it into position. Some runners prefer a waist pack higher around the waist, while others wear it lower towards the hips, and the ErgoFit shape is narrower at the top and wider towards the hips.

Choose the size according to where you intend to wear the pack and your measurement at that position. The engineered stretch mesh provides some flexibility in fit, while the separate rear compression adjustment is used to stabilise heavier loads rather than simply tightening the pack.
