ULTRASPIRE RUNNING WAIST PACKS & BELTS

UltrAspire running waist packs and belts range from low-profile storage belts to fitted and adjustable hydration packs capable of carrying substantial equipment. ErgoFit shaping follows the body's natural waist and hip shape, while different models use stretch, compression and load distribution to help control movement.

Choose according to capacity, hydration and fit: Fitted Race Belt 3.0 and Element 2.0 for compact storage, Synaptic 3.0 for single-flask hydration, Speedgoat 4.0 for twin-flask carrying, or the fitted Lightning and Mountain Racer for greater capacity and heavier loads.

Choosing an UltrAspire waist pack

The UltrAspire waist range covers several distinct carrying approaches, from low-profile storage belts to fitted 2 and 3-litre waist packs designed to stabilise substantial hydration and equipment.

Which UltrAspire waist pack should I choose?

Fitted Race Belt 3.0 is the lowest-profile fitted option, while Element 2.0 provides adjustable storage. Synaptic 3.0 adds dedicated single-flask hydration, and Speedgoat 4.0 carries two flasks with more storage.

Lightning and Mountain Racer take a different approach. Both are sized, tubular step-in waist packs designed to control heavier loads using engineered stretch materials and separate compression. Lightning provides 2 litres of capacity in a lower-profile design, while Mountain Racer increases this to 3 litres with more hydration and external carrying options.

What is the difference between the Fitted Race Belt 3.0 and Element 2.0?

Fitted Race Belt 3.0 is the more minimalist and closely fitted option. It is available in separate sizes, which can provide a more precise fit than a continuously adjustable belt.

Element 2.0 is adjustable and provides four separate storage areas, making it more flexible for organising food, phone, valuables and other kit. Both can carry a soft flask, but neither requires hydration to be carried at the waist.

What is the difference between the Synaptic 3.0 and Speedgoat 4.0?

Synaptic 3.0 is the more compact hydration option, with a single 550ml UltraFlask carried in a dedicated rear holster and additional storage for food, phone and other essentials.

Speedgoat 4.0 carries two 550ml UltraFlasks and provides more storage, making it useful where you want around a litre of hydration at the waist together with accessible food and equipment.

What is the difference between the Lightning and Mountain Racer?

Both use a fitted tubular step-in construction, ErgoFit shaping, engineered stretch mesh and separate rear compression to stabilise heavier loads. Lightning is the lower-profile option at approximately 5 inches high, with 2 litres of capacity and an included 625ml locking soft flask carried at the front.

Mountain Racer is approximately 5.5 inches high and increases capacity to 3 litres. It includes an 800ml locking soft flask and adds greater hydration flexibility, Bloddle compatibility, removable aluminium rear Z-pole attachments and front bungee carrying.

Fitted or adjustable UltrAspire waist pack?

Adjustable models allow the fit to be changed using straps or other adjustment and can be useful if you want flexibility in where the pack sits or how it fits over different clothing.

Fitted models are offered in separate sizes and use their shape and stretch to sit closely around the body. Choose the size according to your measurement where you intend to wear the pack, whether that is higher around the waist or lower towards the hips.

How does UltrAspire reduce movement around the waist?

UltrAspire uses ErgoFit shaping designed to follow the body's natural waist and hip shape. Fit, stretch and load distribution vary between models, while the higher-capacity fitted packs also use separate compression to pull heavier loads closer to the body.

No waist pack is completely immune from movement. Running style, carried weight, how the load is distributed and how securely the pack fits can all affect bounce and comfort. Overtightening is not necessarily the answer, particularly over ultra distances.
