The UltraFlask 550 Hybrid is softer and more compressible than the structured Human 20 bottle supplied with the Iso Pocket and Iso Versa, but it does not behave like a completely collapsible soft flask. It retains enough shape to make the bottle easier to handle and return to a vest or waist-pack pocket when partly or fully empty.

As you drink, the flexible body can conform more closely to the hand and reduce the rigid feel of a conventional sports bottle. The bottle is also useful independently of the handheld and can be carried in compatible race-vest and waist-belt pockets.

Compared with the 550 Race 2.0, the 550 Pocket adds an expanding zipped compartment for small essentials. If you do not need storage and want the simpler handheld arrangement, the 550 Race 2.0 is the more stripped-back alternative.
