Inov-8 Racepac 8 Hydration Vest

The Inov-8 Racepac 8 is a 230g, 8 litre hydration vest with a wrap-around construction that follows the body for stable carrying with reduced movement. Front flask storage, an expandable rear compartment and adjustable chest, waist and side bungees help secure the pack around the runner and load. Its capacity works particularly well when mandatory kit, food and hydration requirements can be kept moderate, whether through regular aid, race support or a deliberately lighter carrying setup.

Hydration can be carried in two 500ml soft flasks at the front together with an Inov-8 2 Litre Hydration Bladder in the main rear compartment, providing up to 3 litres of fluid capacity when both are used. The front pockets are compatible with the Inov-8 Soft Flask 0.5L. The rear compartment has a gusset that expands to accommodate more kit and lies flatter with a smaller load. Soft flasks and reservoir are not included.

Front storage combines two dedicated flask pockets with a zipped pocket for a phone or valuables, a large open front-to-side stretch pocket and a smaller stretch pocket. The emergency whistle and key bungee are located inside the zipped pocket. Poles can be carried vertically at the front or horizontally across the rear.

Secure front storage: The zipped pocket provides space for a large phone and valuables, with the key bungee and emergency whistle located inside.
Adjustable chest bungees: Stretch-bungee sternum adjustment allows the vest to be secured and altered while running.
Adjustable waist bungee: Provides additional adjustment around the lower vest and load.
Side adjustment: Allows further adaptation around different chest and rib-cage sizes.
Dual pole carry: Attachment points allow poles to be carried vertically on the front or horizontally across the rear.
Breathable construction: Air-mesh material helps wick moisture away while running.
Recycled materials: The main materials contain recycled content.
Reflective detailing: Reflective print on the rear adds visibility in low light.

Sizing & Fit

The Racepac 8 uses a wrap-around vest construction and comes in three sizes. Stretch-bungee straps across the chest and waist, together with side adjustment, fine-tune the fit around the body and help stabilise the load. Inov-8 specifies sizing by chest circumference, measured around the widest part of the chest.

S: 81–93cm / 32–37in

M: 89–102cm / 35–40in

L: 97–109cm / 38–43in

The size ranges overlap, allowing the bungee and side adjustments to fine-tune the fit around the runner and the amount being carried.
