The Racepac 20 comes in three sizes. Its wrap-around front construction sits around the torso, while stretch-bungee adjustment across the chest and waist allows the fit to be altered around the runner and the amount being carried. Inov-8 specifies sizing by chest circumference, measured around the widest part of the chest.

The size ranges overlap, allowing the bungee adjustment to fine-tune the fit. With a 20 litre pack, the rear compression system also becomes important: the zigzag bungees allow a partially filled load to be drawn in rather than leaving the contents free to move.
