Check that your running vest or pack is specifically designed to accept a 3 litre reservoir. Its greater capacity and 19.5cm width require more rear storage space than the smaller Ultimate Direction reservoirs.

Three litres of water also adds substantial carried weight when completely filled, so consider whether that capacity is genuinely required for the distance between water sources, expected conditions and the way the rest of your kit is packed.

Route the 92cm drinking tube using the pack's shoulder-strap loops or other hose-retention points so that the bite valve remains easy to reach while running.
