For routine care, rinse hydration equipment after use and allow it to dry completely before storage. Use the brushes with warm water and mild soap when a more thorough clean is required.
Cleaning is particularly worthwhile after using electrolyte or carbohydrate drink mixes, which can leave residue inside reservoirs, flasks and drinking tubes.
Use the long wire brush inside drinking tubes. Remove compatible bite-valve components where appropriate so the valve and silicone sheath can also be cleaned separately.
After cleaning, rinse thoroughly and allow every component to dry completely before reassembly and storage. Complete drying is an important part of preventing mould and persistent odours.
