Beginning runner here, and had done very well on New Balance 1080v8s. After a 3 months though, my knees were not happy. Needed something with a bit more cushioning, and with about 50% more stack than the NB, these are magnificent. Excellent for my plodding 300lb 44 year old pace, so no sprinting involved, but I can absolutely confirm that my knees don't complain anything like they used to at my 7.4 min/km pace Have had a single occasion of the insole rubbing and blistering the side of my arch. Usually wear ankle compression, and on that occasion, I hadn't! Overall though, fantastic shoes, extremely comfortable, only thing that remains to be seen is the durability, and there are only a scattering of blown rubber grips on the sole. Great for road, but worry about the short dirt track sections on my route. Can't say I'm disappointed in any way. Highly recommended for any heavier runners.
