Comfortable and grippy, so far November 20, 2016 Reviewer: Andrew Iain McKay from Inverness, Highland United Kingdom   I really like these shoes for trail running.  They are comfortable and I find the traction fine for the 'non-technical' trails that I typically run...forestry tracks and tow-paths mainly.  After reading reviews and looking into the technology, I had very high expectations about the cushioning...the reality is that I don't find the cushioning noticeably better than other trails shoes I have been using with much lower stack heights and denser cushioning.  Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I honestly haven't found a big difference.  That said, I am really enjoying using the Hoka Challenger ATR 2 and will certainly consider other Hoka models in future. Challenger ate 2 November 17, 2016 Reviewer: David Chanter from Peter Tavy, Devon United Kingdom   Happy with the shoes however the overall experience was less than satisfactory. Having paid p&p of £16 for next day delivery the order eventually arrived after 4 days . Never felt the issue was resolved satisfactorily as neither ultra runner or Royal Mail wanted to accept the blame. Was this review helpful to you?

Great all rounder for long days out October 30, 2016 Reviewer: Peter B from Edinburgh   Great shoe - I've had loads of ATR 1s and one pair of ATR 2s. They don't last as long as thicker soled Hokas but are more nimble and VERY LIGHT and do a great job over most terrain - from trails to sharp ugly gravel to road. By 450miles they are losing their bounce (and tread). ATR 2s are quite snug but if you replace the insole with a thin one, they are good to go. Pity about the colourways but that's Hoka. On the upside good traction for trails (not technical or hills) and comfy light shoe for long days out. Try before buy as most folk need half size bigger than usual uk sizing. I'd give them at least 4+ out of 5 esp. at this price. Was this review helpful to you?

Too narrow so returned. October 17, 2016 Reviewer: Ju 777 from Northwich , Cheshire United Kingdom   I tried the hoka challenger having heard they were good however I found them to be much to narrow so returned them after trying on at home. Excellent shoe for Ultratrails BUT September 1, 2016 Reviewer: Kiljander from Espoo Finland   the sole pattern breaks easily. In fact my 2 pairs did not last the 80km and 134km competitions. Gluing helped for another 100km and now after 250-300km I wont do it again. So, I like this shoe a lot, but can´t afford to buy a third pair and I am looking for an improvement on this product, please. Was this review helpful to you?
