5 of 5 Best hidration vest so far October 27, 2013
Reviewer: Tom from Zagreb, Grad Zagreb Croatia
Excelent fit and comfort.
Lot of storage space and no bouncing.

Be careful with sizing though - my chest size is 100 cm but large is too big so I exchanged for medium size.
Phone pocket is too small allthough you can force Samsung S3 in it but only if you have silicon case (otherwise it's too slippery and you can loose it).
Also the phone storage should be water tight.

5 of 5 Excellent!!! October 24, 2013
Reviewer: Bartosz Marczewski from Poland
I've already tried many different hydration systems like belts with big bottles or with small ones and it was just uncomfortable for me. SJ Vest is awesome! The bottles in the front are not bouncing (they are moving with your body...a guess it's just like having some boobs;)Sometimes during some long runs I also use bladder in the back,so you have like 1,2l in the front and 1l in a back(bladder is not included,I'm using UltrAspire 1 Litre Hydration Reservoir - works grest with the vest). Watch out for the sizing (on UD site), cause I got 100cm in my chest, so I should buy L size, but I bought M and it is just perfect!

4 of 5 Nice, but careful with the sizing October 7, 2013
Reviewer: Tero Pelkonen from Jyväskylä, Finland
Great stuff.
I had some difficulties in choosing between M and S. M is according to specs correct and I also read couple of recommendations to go for the bigger, specifically if using sometimes thicker shirts. Though the M appears to be too wide on the lower part. Having the adjustment in the minimum, it does not feel firm. Had to adjust the sizing with left & right side stickers, which are meant for closing a small pocket. Thus the two handy quick containers were not usable at all, since had to keep them closed just to make sure the Vest is comfortable and firm while running. IMHO the sizing guide (video) should be greatly enhanced. I may need contact for smaller size, not sure if it is correct size either. Be sure to try first if you have possibility for that.

5 of 5 Fluid Running September 18, 2013
Reviewer: Howard from Cleator Moor, Cumbria United Kingdom
The pack is big enough to hold the minimum kit, with easy access to drink and food. It rests quite high up the back so allows for the addition of a waist pack if needed. The numerous pockets mean compass, electronic timer, electrolyte tablets, gels and bars are all easy to reach and the front mounted water bottles are easy to take out and replace but you do need to squeeze them as you drink for the liquid to come out at a reasonable rate. The bungee cord on the back over the two separate compartments allows for easy storage of an item of clothing. You do need to take of the pack to access the back pockets as even with the top chest strap undone the pack dose not slip of to allow it to be spun around for easy access. It has other option: room for a bladder and space for walking poles. If a bladder was used it would be hard to fit in the full kit unless one of the front water bottle holders was used to store some items. So far it has served me well on two Ultras – highly recommend.

4 of 5 Love it but watch the sizing September 16, 2013
Reviewer: Steven Gresham from Clacton, Essex United Kingdom
Just finished my first long run with the vest. The storage is excellent. Two small points - watch the sizing, i'm a 38 chest, so I went for a large but that was way too big. I exchanged for a M (btw - excellent customer service) and now run with it on its tightest setting to stop the bottles bouncing! Also, the pocket that could fit a smart phone, doesn't hold an iphone 5 and you'll be in trouble if you're caught in the rain so have to store it in the side/back. That's minor though, can see myself going far with this vest. Recommended.

5 of 5 SJ ULTRA VEST August 12, 2013
Reviewer: David Hutchinson from Brisbane, Queensland Australia
Very happy with the product.  I have done two runs, a three hour and a four hour run on the trail and it worked fine.  I used a 1.5 litre bladder which wasn't the best shape (long and narrow) but it still worked okay.  I have now ordered a 1 litre bladder with a shape more suited to the pack.

On receiving the vest, I thought it was very light and fragile so I hope that it will be as hard wearing as they say it is.

A couple of minor negative issues are (1) the iPhone 5 won't fit into the pocket high up on the shoulder strap and (2) one of the 600ml bottles discoloured the first time I used orange Lucozade in it.

The amount of space in the vest is very good and it has definitely been designed to carry a fair bit of gear.

Don't go by the manufacturer's sizing.  I am a 38 inch chest and the 'medium' vest fits very well, with room to spare.

All in all, I am very happy with product, providing it stands up to the rigours of ultra marathon trail runs.

4 of 5 SJ ultra vest August 8, 2013
Reviewer: Visa-Pekka Larivaara from Jääli, Oulu Finland
Difficult to really review after having tried it on just once when running. The product specs puzzle me a bit. Are the chest sizes presented by Ultimate Direction correct? I had to change the vest from size L to M (and still might prefer a little more room to adjust the chest straps). The service at Ultramarathon Running Marathon Store was great. The exchange of vest to a different size worked very smoothly, thanks!

5 of 5 Everything it says it would be. August 4, 2013

It's great. It's light, yet feels durable. I think the way you drink from the bottles is a bit annoying, but you get used to it.
