I've had issues with these shorts after wearing them for a year.
Firstly, the inner lining chafes terribly for any long run. The material on the groin is very coarse and rubs through underwear quite badly for me. I had to cut out the lining.
Secondly, the stitching around the velcro pockets has come undone on both sides. I have used a few safety pins to hold the pockets together (I'm not skilled with a needle and thread, which would have been a better fix).
Thirdly, the pocket on the back is held closed by a very small round piece of velcro (smaller than a penny coin). The velcro is therefore difficult to fasten when wearing the shorts (feels like trying to pin the tail on the donkey). I got round this by cutting the pocket off as I couldn't use it easily.
That said, I like the open mesh side pockets - very handy for keys, cards, small phones and gels etc. Also, the material for the outside of the shorts is really light and comfy.
