Featuring 12 L of volume and a variety of features, The UD Peter Bakwin Adventure Vest allows you to stay hydrated and comfortable on any size adventure from quick outings to all-day expeditions.

The pack Peter Bakwin always wanted did not exist – so he designed this one. The 12 ounce PB Adventure Vest has the same abundant storage options as the SJ Ultra Vest, but with a large 8.5 litre main compartment, constructed with a unique one-piece pull cord for instant expandability or compression. With a special pocket for a locater beacon, and a system for readily attaching trekking poles or an ice axe, this is the most comfortable pack ever for hiking, running and climbing.

MATERIALS & DESIGN
Cuben Fiber: Used for the sails of America's Cup racing yachts, this non-woven fabric is 15 times stronger than steel and 40% stronger than Aramid fibers, and is extremely resistant to moisture, UV, and chemicals
Velvetex: The edge banding is very soft for greater comfort
Power Mesh: All pockets and super stretchy, so small loads won't bounce and the vest expands as you need it to.

First time I've had a pack with front bottles that don't roll all over the place.  Feels great on although have only done some 10 mile trial runs so far.

So many pockets I may lose things!!

Great for longer days/events with a slightly bigger kit need or kit list.  Water bottles very stable.  Nice not to have a belt - no pressure on your stomach.  So many pockets you need to be organised to remember where you packed everything.

This is more than just the big brother to the Krupicka and Jurek vests. It is still very lightweight compared to other vests on the market, has excellent capacity and is very comfortable. I have tested this on a 45 mile run in the Peak District - everything is accessible while on the move, including the hip pockets which don't require you to be double jointed. The pockets on the front are perfect for compass and mobile phone. The bottle pockets fit camelback podium bottles nicely and have stretchy pockets on both sides for gels - you need to stuff a few gels in otherwise they bounce around. There are lots of useful bungee and other straps on the outside of the pack - more than anybody will need. Best of all is the comfort - lots of race vests still have tightening straps on the shoulders which after 40/50 miles start to bug. These have a couple of pull strings which tighten the whole pack, but don't dig into the shoulders. Overall, this is an ace pack.

My first run in it was a 40 mile race and the vest did everything I needed. Enough pocket space at the front to keep all my food. Plenty room in the back which am sure I will put to good use when I go further.
