4 of 5 Good - but changed from older model July 22, 2013
Reviewer: Clive Sinclair from Glasgow, North Lanarkshire United Kingdom
I bought the 2013 model - my first UltraAspire purchase. I had previously 'handled' a friends older model, which had a sliding (up/down) chest strap. The new 2013 model doesn't.

It is still a great item and perfect for short longer trail running - when you need to carry some 'safety' equipment.

Very light and comfortable to wear even with the pockets and bladder full.

5 of 5 Excellent July 22, 2013

Great quality piece of kit and brilliant value for money. Lightweight but not flimsy and fits well with no bounce. Included bladder has already proved its worth when running in the heat. Very pleased.

5 of 5 Ultraspire vest July 7, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Tunbridge Wells, Kent United Kingdom
Really pleased with this product. I chose it mainly as it's small as I didn't want to run with a bulky, bouncing water pack. This vest fits snugly and comfortably with no bounce. Good amount of pockets for gels, keys, phone etc, and I love the magnetic closure on one of them which keeps your key from jumping about. Having yet tried running with a water bottle in the front strap but great to have that option.

5 of 5 Spry Race Vest July 23, 2012
Reviewer: Andrew from Kidderminster, UK
I use handhelds and I got the Spry for long runs and races. I'm a small guy (135 lbs) and many times things like this do not fit properly. The Spry fit great and has just enough capacity to carry what is needed, and no more. I tried to carry a small camera in the front pocket but it bounced a bit so unless one is tolerant of that I wouldn't recommend carrying heavier items. Less is more anyway right? All is all an excellent option.

4 of 5 A great vest for fast ultras July 19, 2012
Reviewer: Dan Doherty from Bramley, Hampshire United Kingdom
This vest has the right amount of pockets (as too many pockets tempt me to take too much) in the right places. The pockets are secured by magnets rather than zips which is a lot more convenient to open and close on the run.

It's a light backpack with the ultra runner in mind. It has a bottle holder, pockets to hold some gels and a phone, as well as plenty of space on the back for a waterproof and some other bits and bobs.

5 of 5 Review UltrAspire SPRY Vest July 16, 2012
Reviewer: Julie Ashman www.asics4u.co.uk from Southampton, Hants United Kingdom
Great product. So light I hardly know I'm wearing it. Lots of little pockets, pocket for small bottle at the front & pocket for phone. Handy back pocket for jacket & small bladder. Easy to adjust.
Bit pricey at £45 and I have dithered over buying it for a couple of months, but its a super little vest.

5 of 5 UltrAspire SPRY Backpack/Race Vest July 15, 2012

I've been looking for a way of carrying enough stuff for 4-5 hour runs for a while and have experimented with bumbags, handhelds etc but nothing has quite hit the spot.

I love this pack, it's big enough to hold everything I need and fits like a glove. Once on, it doesn't move around and I can forget it's there. The back pocket is surprisingly spacious - I can fit the UltrAspire HUMAN16 ERGO Bottle in there and a jacket without a problem.

The little waterproof Electrolyte pocket is useful for carrying a key and some change, (because it's magnetic my key sticks to it - so no jangling around).

I tried putting a bottle in the mesh pocket at the front but it made the vest unstable and uncomfortable for me, not that this matters as I use handhelds anyway. If I need to carry extra water it goes in the back pocket which works fine.

A brilliant product, once my Raidlight bites the dust I'll be looking at the UltrAspire OMEGA as a replacement.

5 of 5 UltrAspire SPRY Backpack/Race Vest July 11, 2012
Reviewer: Alex from Berkshire, United Kingdom
An excellent product...it's extremely lightweight, and very well made.  Bags of storage for food, gels, etc.  The straps adjust to a great fit.  I am small, and some other company's products I have tried have been too big and bounced about, but this stayed snug and I hardly noticed it.  Love the fact I can use a bladder in the back pouch as well...bonus!  Highly recommended.  (And it was delivered REALLY quickly too!)
