I´m 54 and I have been misbehaving: Eating too much. So, if I would lose some 15 pounds, I would be back at my prime. I intend to do so. But, "maximal shoes" (as opposed to "Minimal shoes" are going to reduce impact and protect my knees from injury, before and after I lose those extra pounds. I have suffered from patella tendonitis ("aka "Runners´Knee")and I hope to be able to train harder and more often with these Hoka shoes, while keeping away the injury. I can´t make a proper review of these shoes before using them for a few months. But, after a few rides, I can say they perform good and are particularly good in downhill. By the way, "Maximal shoes" are going to be the trend in 2014, so just wait and see. Excellent service from the guys of UltraMarathonRunning.com Thanks guys! John
