4 of 5 Almost the ideal bottle pack, but a few flaws May 12, 2013
Reviewer: Darren Gillman from Cambridge, Cambridgeshire United Kingdom
n general I love this pack for long training runs and summer ultras.  Very comfy to carry, lots of handy storage and easy to access bottles.

However it has a few flaws.  The bottles are great in theory but tend to leak through both lid seal and valve.  The magnon pocket is not waterproof - I've had tablets in there get damp from both rain and sweat.  The waist and chest strap work loose through the shiny metal buckles.

The final issue for me is not a flaw but is actually most inconvenient for me: the rear stash pocket won't hold the minimum kit list required of most UK ultras (full waterproofs, spare layer, etc).  As a result I've also bought a FastPack, which is really too big and heavy but they have no middle ground product.

It's still the best lightweight bottle pack I've found (I don't like chest-mounted bottles) but it feels as if they've released it too early before ironing out all the flaws.

4 of 5 cool on both my back and the vest October 7, 2012
Reviewer: Francis Ho from Hong Kong
Got it in Hong Kong within a week.  I tested it twice this weekend.  A short hike of 4km on Saturday and a longer one today which is 13km with a lot of up and down (a total of 1,140m up and 1,400m down)    I tried to pack more than I needed to test and vest, including : two filled Human bottles, a filled SOURCE 750 soft bottle that fit into the front pouch, two phones, purse, keys, ipod with mini speaker, 2 gels, 3 bars, 1 tube of electro pills, a spare tee, and a pack of tissue paper.    The weight distribution of the vest made me very comfortable even I was carrying over 2L of water.
I walked uphill but ran when downhill.   My upper body was free to move and I could feel that the stability is a lot better than other packs.   I also felt cool on my back and the vest looks cool as well.
The only one thing that I was disappointed is the waterproof magnon pocket on the front.  Perhaps I have too much sweat, it actually evaporated through and my pills was wet.

4 of 5 race vest back pack September 5, 2012
Reviewer: Ann Bath from Surbiton, Surrey United Kingdom
rec'd it 1 day before the Ridgeway 85 mile race so used it for first time in the race- really good but wonder if I should have had the next size up as I'd prefer the bottles to be a bit lower as was twisting my back to get them out. I'm a size 10 but am long bodied.  Also one of the red tops stopped working during the race which was annoying as had to unscrew the grey top and got liquid all down me each time unless I stopped running to drink (I will return it to you) Loved all the pockets  but surprised one wasnt waterproof, I have 2 waist belts each with a waterproof zip and pocket.  Please can you tell me the extra measurement of the next size up from shoulders to base.  It is a fantasticly good item for very long ultras!  PS I didn't get an exclusive free gift for new customers as written on the left!

5 of 5 Great piece of kit July 20, 2012
Reviewer: Andrew Bruce from Watford, Herts United Kingdom
Although the storage on the back of the vest is minimal, there are ways to get around this, for example jackets and clothing can be hung through the loop at the back without discomfort.

I really like the harness system on it, and it really feels good even with both bottles filled. Well worth the money, I will be taking it to transalpine with me and wearing for many an ultra to come!

5 of 5 UltrAspire Kinetic Race Vest July 16, 2012
Reviewer: Bob Steel from Glasgow, Stirling United Kingdom
I ran 38 miles on the west highland way with Debs Consani and Lucy Colquhoun and wore the vest, it was excellent, I filled the two bottles and had a lucozade sport in the front pocket which was just the perfect amount of fluid and enough space for gels and bars and phone. I'll definately be using it lots and told Debs she should get one.:-) Thanks again. Bob

5 of 5 Customer Service #1 July 14, 2012
Reviewer: Eric T from Ontario, California United States
I'm from California, had been looking EVERYWHERE for the Ultraspire Kinetic.  It was sold out EVERYWHERE except here.

I was desperate to try it before the Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run;  so, I ordered the pack and explained my plans. Exactly one week later the bag arrived.

It looks awesome.  I prefer bottles over bladders, but don't like waist belts since usually results in stomach issues.

I've tried Solomon and North Face vests that are bottle holders.  Their problems were either no pockets on the front and/or too warm.

The Kinetic has plenty of pockets on the front and has an open back.  The downside is that the back pouch is smaller then my others.  But, it's still decent size.

The 26 ounce bottles are great.  I like the Camelback Ice bottles, but they don't fit in some packs.  This pack allows for two 26 ounce bottles plus at least a 10 ounce bottle in one of the front pouches.

PLEASE NOTE: I JUST got the pack and haven't run in it yet.
