4 of 5 Dirty girl gaiters December 8, 2020
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
After modification gaiters work well. Initially the gaiters didn’t cover laces on my running shoes (brooks launch 6). So I modified them, sewing a piece of stiffer material (cut out of and old sports holdall) into the toe section and moved hook up gaiter a bit (I also reversed the hook so it hooks over laces rather than under). To create an attachment point at the front of the I stitched (linen book binders thread ) round the lace and the seam at the bottom of the tongue. To attach the velco to the heels of my shoes I first trimmed it to size an stuck it on with adhesive backing as supplied. I then reinforced it by sewing into the trainers with linen bookbinders thread (ordinary cotton not strong enough, kept catching and breaking) - i didn’t sew right through the trainers just sort of stitched in to. The gaiters now seem to have worked well on half a dozen uses - I will have to see how they and my modifications stand up over time.

4 of 5 Great accessory for Tribal Clash September 4, 2016

Doing a team competition on a stoney beach our Dirty Girl Gaiters came in really handy. Protecting our feet on the sand and trail runs! Plent of Velcro so it can be used on multiple shoes. Tho may need a bit of sticking help!

3 of 5 Lightweight but not for boggy conditions March 12, 2014
Reviewer: Nick W from Cheshire United Kingdom
I have some Inov-8 gaiters that are heavy duty and close fitting, making them good for keeping mud at bay. They do retain water though, so wanted a lighter weight option.
These ones are a very lightweight material, not so tight fitting, with hook attachment over laces at front and velcro over the heel and will definitely be more useful later in the year on loose trails to keep grit and stones out. (If the ground ever dries out.....)
